A funeral service for Beth Lomax, age 64, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 11 o’clock in the morning Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, with Bro. Daniel Allen and Bro. Dale Jamerson officiating. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior to services. She will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Lomax passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 in Houston.
Beth was born September 14, 1952 in Jacksonville to Jack and Gerti Dudley.
She worked as a nurse for 32 years and retired from Rusk State Hospital. She was devoted to her family and look forward to family gatherings especially the family reunions at the 1st of every June. She liked to try different types of food and make a visit to all new restaurants. Beth was a member of Tyler Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Payton Diers.
Left to cherish her memory is husband, Billy Lomax of Jacksonville; children, Rhonda Diers and husband Scott of Jacksonville; Chanci Loftin and fiancé Jack Moore of Chandler, Jaye Saenz and husband Dario of Chandler, Chae Birdwell, Chase Birdwel, Dallas Birdwell, all of Jacksonville; also by children, Shannon Lomax and wife Kellie of Halsville, Crystal Bohannan and husband Todd of Jenkins, Michelle Wilkerson and husband Kenny Ray of New Salem, Larry Kinney and wife Tina of New Summerfield, Kevin Kinney and wife Misty of Reklaw, and Kaycee Birdwell of Crosby. She is also survived by siblings, Frank Dudley and wife Lori of Huntsville, Claude Dudley of Jacksonville, Jackie Dudley and wife Joy of Jacksonville, Bonnie Hulsey and husband Earl of Henderson, Pat Brown of Jacksonville and Charlotte Bonner of Mt. Selman. Her grandchildren are the late Payton Diers, Ryan Diers, Ruston Diers, Chance Fuqua, Beth Ann Loftin, Hannah Loftin, Chris Davis, Andrew Moore, Bobby Joe Fields, Roman Saenz, Maverick Saenz, Jayden Cannon, Piper Mims, Colt Kinney, Avery Kinney, Jackson Kinney, Justin Holmes, Michael Moore and Kaylee Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Chase Birdwell, Jayden Cannon, Scott Diers, Dario Saenz, Jack Moore, John Dudley, Ryan Diers, Ruston Diers, Chance Fuqua, Bobby Joe Fields, Roman Saenz, Maverick Saenz and Jesse Mims.
