Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt passed away peacefully Monday evening November 8, 2004 at Brian's House with her family at her side, age 93 years. Mary was born on January 19, 1911 in Winder, PA to the late Joseph (Rasi)Roshy and Elizabeth (Torok) Roshy. She married Frank R. Motko on December 1, 1926 and has resided in Bay City for 80 years. Frank passed away February 1, 1964.
Mary worked as a waitress at the Wenonah Hotel. She was a beautician and owned Lady Lee Beauty Shop and worked at the Rachael Sovereign Home for thirty years. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary #485 and was past president, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and was an avid bingo player.
She was predeceased by one son in law, Francis Pudvan, one nephew, Richard Bahm, three brothers, Louis, John, Louie (Anna) Roshy, two sisters, Rose Roshy, and Julia ( Elton) Petee and one grandson, Owen P. Sullivan.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday November 12, 2004 at 1:00pm at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Steven L. Woodford. Private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M. and on Friday from 11:00 A.M. and until the time of services, Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
