ROSHY, JULIUS A. "BONES" Port Austin, MI Formerly of Bay City, MI Julius A. "Bones" Roshy, age 89 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 while at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities with his loving family by his side. He was born to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Torok) Roshy on May 12, 1924 in Owendale, MI. Julius was in the Merchant Marines, worked on the Ludington to Milwaukee ferry boats, farmed, drove taxi cabs, and after 30 years he retired from Dow Corning Corporation, Midland. He was also a member of the USCG Aux Flotilla 1509 Port Austin. After retirement, he took the title of Captain Bones and started a Charter Fishing Company for many years on the "Lady Ar," which was his greatest pastime. Julius spent his winters in Florida for the love of golf.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joseph Atchinson will officiate with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to "Wishes of the Family." Visiting hours are Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM; and Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the W. A.
