Mr. Kenneth Hugh Dixon, 61, died Sunday morning (Oct. 22, 2006) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

He is a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He was a construction laborer and member of Emerson Park Baptist Church.

He is the son of the late Shennie "Sam" Dixon and Jimmie Lee Ward Dixon. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Lee L. Dixon, Ralph Dixon and George Coleman Dixon.

Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Cornelius of Manor, and Rose Marie Cleland (husband Travis) of Hoboken; four step-children, Henry Merritt, John Merritt, Elizabeth Merritt and Mary Jane Merritt; 2 grandchildren, Justin Dixon and Hali Cleland; a sister, Evelyn Cornelius of Manor; three brothers, Thomas Dixon (wife Louise) of Augusta, Billy Dixon of Kingsland, and Jimmy Dixon (wife Kay) of Waycross; three sister-in-laws, Dorothy Dixon of Waycross, Pat Murray of Augusta, and Josephine Dixon of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorialization is by cremation.
