Will was a carpenter and craftsman by trade, built custom furniture and cabinets. Born and raised in Jefferson County, FL where he first married Eva Suber 5 December 1917, issue; 5 children: Bessie, Johnnie, Sarah, James and Hazel. During WWI Willie served as Private, US Army, 10th Division, 237th Field Hospital. After Eva's death he married Lucy Strickland 9 April 1932 in Wakulla County, FL. Lucy died in 1933 seven days after giving birth to her only child; Mamie Lucy. 1940 Census shows Willie living with brother in law Jim Suber near Pavo in rural Thomas County, GA. In 1943 Willie married Alice Redding in Pavo at the home of Jim Suber's father in law Rev John P Hobbs. Willie and Alice lived at Empress in Brooks County, GA.
