TOCCOA, Ga. - Mrs. Lora Purcell Andrews, 79, widow of Harrison Andrews, died
early Sunday morning after several week's illness.
Mrs. Andrews was a daughter of the late Anderson J. and Mary Kesler Purcell.
She was born February 13, 1886 at Mize and had lived in Stephens County all
her life. She was a member of Sunshine Methodist Church and one of the best
known families in this community. Her husband died March 6, 1959.
Survivors: a daughter, Mrs. Robert S. Berry, Jr. of Commerce; two sons,
Tyrus Andrews of Asheville, N.C. and James W. "Pete" Andrews of Toccoa; five
grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. J.J.Strange, Mrs. Holman Andrews, Mrs.
Ethel Clark, all of Toccoa, and Mrs. Frank Tuck of Atlanta; a brother, Henry
Purcell of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the
Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Kelly Barnes, Kenneth Deitle and
Claude Singleton officiating. Burial in Sunshine Methodist Church Cemetery.
