Nancy Susan Williams, born on Dec 19, 1878, in Franklin County, Georgia, was the third of nine daughters born to James Martin Epp "Eppy" Williams (1853 – 1917) and Essie Adeline "Effie" Ayers (1857 – 1942). The family lived on their farm initially located in Flintsville District 211, Franklin County, Georgia, later redistricted into Militia District 264 of Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.

The 1880 census showed the 1 year old Nancy Susan Williams living with her family on a farm in District 211, Franklin County, Georgia. The Williams family was in Enumeration District #29, Dwelling #40, Family #43. The Household was listed as follows: 26 year old Eppie M as Head, 22 year old wife Essie, 5 year old Mary E, 4 year old Emma E and 1 year old Nancy S. Both Eppie and Essie were born in Georgia, as were the three children. Occupation for Eppie was listed as Farmer; Essie as Keeping House. Neither Eppie nor Essie were noted to be unable to read and write.

Nancy Andrews and her family continued to live in the Stephens County area until the time of her death. After 45 years of marriage, she was widowed Feb 12, 1951. She died at age 90 on Dec 28, 1968, in Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia. She is buried next to her husband in the New Hope Cemetery in Toccoa, Stephens County, Georgia.
