CLEVELAND- Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and lifelong friend, William Russell Allred, age 80, passed away in the comforts of his home June 24, 2023. He was born August 21, 1942 in Cleveland, Utah to Doyle Lawayne and Ann Curtis Allred. He married Dixie Lee McArthur January 14, 1961 in Lawrence, Utah.

Bill had a strong work ethic! He was a longtime rancher and coal miner but, first and foremost, he was a cowboy! Bill loved his horses, dogs, cows, and the mountains; especially Cedar Mountain and Spring Canyon.

Bill was so proud of his boys, the men they became, and their many successes! That pride continues through all his grandchildren. His boys admired Bill's extraordinary talent for hunting, tracking, shooting, and training dogs and horses. They truly cherished his never-ending support!

Bill loved rodeo, TV Westerns, the PBR, and his family. Bill's days were always brightened by the laughter and joy the "littles" brought with their visits. Most of all, Bill loved and cherished his Dix!

Bill is survived by the love of his life, Dixie Allred; sons, Benny (Evelyn) Allred, Cleveland, UT, Guy (Tina) Allred, Cleveland, UT, Jesse Allred, Cleveland, UT, Bodee (Trudy) Allred, Orangeville, UT; two sisters, Roanna Rich, Cleveland, UT, and Leta (David) Robertson, Orangeville, UT; 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Allred and Patsy Allred, both of Cleveland; along with his 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, Archie Todd Allred; siblings, Jim Allred, Royce (Elaine) Allred, Pat Allred, Reba (Marvin) Hansen, Arch Allred; and a brother-in-law, Buster Rich.

Funeral service, Friday, June 30, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Cleveland Ward Chapel. Family will receive friends at the Allred home Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church Friday morning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Cleveland Town Cemetery.
