Irene Marie (Bergin) Webber, 89, of Alamogordo, NM, passed away on May 19, 2023 in Dawson, MN.

William Leroy Webber, 91 of Alamogordo, NM passed away June 23, 2021 in Alamogordo, NM. (Both were formerly of Gary, SD.)

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Gary, SD. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Houseman Funeral Home, Canby, MN.

Irene was born in Luverne, MN to Emmett and Mabel (Bakke) Bergin on July 23, 1933. She grew up on a farm with her three brothers, four sisters and attended country school.

Bill was born to Irving and Anna (Ladwig) Webber of Gary, SD on May 25, 1930. Bill grew up on a farm near Gary with his only sibling, Leon. He attended country school and Gary High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951, was assigned to the 830th Bombardment Squadron/509th Bombardment Wing and was honorably discharged in 1955.

They were united in marriage on September 27, 1952 in St. Joseph's Catholic church, Jasper, MN. Bill and Irene lived on the Webber farm near Gary, SD where they were blessed with seven children. They were members of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Bill was a Legion member of Peden-Cole Post 109 and Irene was a Legion Auxiliary member. They were active members for many years prior to their 1985 move to New Mexico. While in Alamogordo, NM Bill was employed by Black Hills Aviation and later worked at Holloman AFB. Bill was a lifelong RC Modeler; he truly loved his airplanes. Irene spent nearly 30 years in various positions for Walmart. She loved interacting with people and made her work fun and always had a smile on her face.

They are lovingly remembered by their six children: Sheila (Randy) Roberts of Red Feather Lakes, CO, Vicky (Will) Meehl of Evergreen, CO, Brian Webber of Hancock, MN, Carmen (Jim) Kellen of Dawson, MN, Christy Ball of Alamogordo, NM and Cari (Randy) Aguilera of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren: Ashley Lopatowski, Kristen Wyant, Brandon Meehl, Billy Meehl, Michelle Nelson, Miranda Henriksen, Melanie Seifkes, Cody Kellen, Caleb Ball, Kyle Ball, Sidney Aguilera, Meghan Aguilera, and Brianna Aguilera and six great-grandchildren.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Bill, their oldest son, Michael Webber, daughter-in-law Debbie Webber, son-in-law Gerald Ball, and grandson, Daniel Kellen. May God's peace be with them always. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peden-Cole Post 109 Legion or Auxiliary, PO Box 203, Gary, SD 57237, an organization they felt strongly about.
