A native of Duluth, he moved to St. Louis for work. He had a lifetime love of cars, water, boats, labrador retrievers, skiing, books, and family. He honed his love of cars participating with the St Louis Region-SCCA. His love of boats/water started as he grew up with the lakes of Minnesota. He captained a steel boat named Klei Zimmer on the Mississippi. He was a member of the Antique Outboard Motor Club and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He retired to Lake of the Ozarks restoring boats and outboard motors and then moved to Tucson, AZ. He was an inventor, mechanic, hobbyist, and engineer. We'll miss these talents, his 'whir' that made us all laugh, and his unconditional love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Helen; his sisters, Clevette and Suzanne.
