Clevette Cohn Lionberger grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Eugene Martin Cohn and Helen Josephine Clevette Cohn. She graduated from East High School, where she was a member of student council, Ski Club, and more. An avid figure skater, she represented the Duluth Figure Skating Club. After graduation, she moved to St. Louis, MO where she taught figure skating lessons and--with another skater--created a line of skating attire named Lizettes. In 1962, she married Terry Lionberger, and--following his career--lived in Indiana, Connecticut, and--finally--Texas. She and Terry divorced in 1981, but she remained in Texas teaching another generation of figure skaters until a few years before her death.

Clevette loved her family dearly, especially her children, grandchildren, and nephews. Her family cherishes her sharp wit, great laugh, and warmth.
