Born in a farmhouse on June 9, 1934 in Wright, KS, Norma was one of twelve children. Norma grew up on a farm in Kansas, with her siblings and parents. Norma played basketball, tennis and softball in high school and in community leagues from 1952-1954. She married John W. Weeks in 1954 and they had 5 children. In 1963 Norma moved to California with her first husband, John and their three daughters, Kathy, Karen and Kristi. In August of 1964, Norma gave birth to twin boys, Kyle and Kevin. Norma went on to become a school teacher and then a home health aide. In 1983 Norma married Alvin F. O'Brien; they were married until Alvin passed in 1998.
