He was born April27,1946 to Michael W.and Nellie F. O'Keefe Downey. A 1964 Windthorst graduate, he wias a lifetime area resident and worked in the cattle industry much of his life before becoming the yard foreman at Ford County Feed Yard. He enjoyed his family and helping others.
On Sept.16,1972 he married Leola Stateler at Dodge City,KS. She survives.
