She met and married Perry Landis in the year 1879.
In the next 20 years they were parents of 10 children. They were Ida, Minnie, Clarence, Charles, Laura, Ray, Corrington, Walter, Diddle and Harvey. Four sons died before they reached nine years of age. One daughter died at the age of 21.
Gracie was a strong lady who rose above those tragic events and stood with her husband as they moved from Ohio to places in Michigan. In 1894 part of the family moved in a covered wagon pulled by oxen to Berry County, MI. Then about four years later Custer, Michigan became their home.
Gracie lost her husband, Perry, in 1899. Her 10th child was born just weeks after Perry's death.
After a couple years she married Fred Kreigh and gave birth to three more children.
In her life Gracie was known as a lady who was never afraid of any challenge.
She was 84 at her death in Thompsonville, Michigan in 1946.
