Mr. William Boyd Amos was born September 2, 1946 in Fort Worth Texas. He was the fourth born of six children to Jimmie and Willie Lee Amos. William received his education through the Fort Worth Independent School District and was a proud graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School Class of 1964.

William worked in the Western wear apparel industry for many years with Williamson Dickinson Company until his retirement from Niver Western Wear in 1997.

William was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie and Willie Amos; sisters, Arnetta Reese, and Gail Sanford; brothers, James and Wayne Amos. William entered rest on Monday, March 13, 2023. William leaves to cherish his memories his sister, Betty Amos Whitmire (Rev. James) of San Diego, CA; special nieces, Angelica Henderson of Murrieta, CA; Mishaun Amos King (Charles) of Grand Prairie; nephews, Dr. Aaron Amos (Tupelo, MS), George Sanford (Kenya) of Argyle, Derrick Amos of Forest Hill, niece, Shagayla Brown of Fort Worth; best friend Leeann Jackson of Fort Worth; a host of other relatives and friends.
