Frances Montiene Looney, 81, of LaGrange, died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Looney was born September 4, 1924, in LaGrange, daughter of the late David Karr and Ida Funderburk Karr. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Baptist Tabernacle. She was also a member of the Lighthouse Keepers.

Mrs. Looney was recently preceded in death by her husband Claude Lamar Looney.

Survivors include two daughters Diane Rogers and Gail Barber; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Brenda Looney and Jeff and Gloria Looney, all of LaGrange; two sisters, Jeanette McMillian of LaGrange and Bessie Sanders of Cordele; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Baptist Tabernacle with the Reverend Jimmy McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
