A former resident of Ellis county, and a relative of Waxahachie persons, perished in the flames that destroyed an Amarillo tourist hotel last Friday night, according to Cope Holland late Tuesday.
Charred almost beyond recognition, the body taken from the ruins with four or five others was that of Roy Toone, 18, of Tulia, Swisher county.
Young Toone was a nephew of Mrs. Holland and a cousin of Myron Brown, both of near Waxahachie.
The first (sic - fire) victim was reared at Forreston and lived practically all his life in Ellis county.
