Mr. William "Bill" Toone
He was very active in the VFW and American Legion. mr. Toone served in the U.S. navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was instrumental in raising funds for the re-lighting of the Eternal Light at the Memorial Grounds in Bakersfield, California.

Mr. Toone was owner of the B&B Employment Agency in Bakersfield, retiring in 1985. Prior to that he managed a Western Union in Brooklyn, New York, for 20 years.

His wife, Mrs. Isabelle (Tuccio) Toone passed away in 1965.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Tiner of Berlin, Ms. Syresa Toone of Milan, Mrs. Christine Leeper of Tracy, California and Mrs. Patricia Bright of Mesa, Arizona, nine grandchildren; and one brother, Mr. Thomas O. Toone of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin.

Funeral serices will begin at 11 a.m. tomorow at the Fleury-Patry Chapel with Pastor Jack Ward officiating. Interment will be in City Cemetery
