SALEM - ‘Coni' was born in Salem, Oregon to George V. Naderman and Evelynn L. Martin. She married Riley L. Appelgate, March 1, 1943.

Coni took the opportunity when her children were grown to continue her education graduating from college with a Masters degree in secondary education. She went on to teach art at Eagle Point High School in Southern Oregon. She was a lifetime member of the Independent Order of the Oddfellows, specifically the Rebekah Lodge from the time she was 18 years, later she joined other affiliated branches of IOOF. She was a member of Jason Lee Methodist Church while she lived in Salem, and was currently an active member of Tangent Community Church in Tangent. Coni learned to sew at a very young age and made most of the clothes she wore. She sewed costumes at the Shakesperian Festival in Ashland, Oregon, for 7 years, and worked in floral design for many years prior to that. Coni was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband April 20, 1980, her daughter, Kathallee (Kathy) Scott September 11, 1998, and her brother, Jack March 18, 2006.

She is survived by son, Ralph, San Diego, Calif., and daughter, Eddie Olson, Tangent, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
