Mr. Dannie Calvin Barnard Sr., age 78, died Friday, October 21 at Candler Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Barnard was a Bulloch County native, but had lived in Pembroke for the past 55 years. He was a barber, ran the family business of making Busy "B" Barbecue sauce, and was a member of Pembroke First Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine B. Seay and a son, Dannie C. Barnard, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Vergie Sutton Barnard of Pembroke; daughter, Terry Barnard of Pembroke; two brothers, Bobby J. Barnard of Nevils and Gerald Barnard of Pembroke; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday evening. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Bryant officiating. Remembrances: First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1801, Pembroke, GA 31321
