This is my second great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Kendall Shockley and Lucretia HEFFLIN Shockley. She was called "Polly".

She married William Henry Arnold, son of Thompson Arnold and Susannah HOLLAND Arnold, on August 19, 1830 in Fleming County, Kentucky. They were blessed with 13 children. Some of these children were born in Fleming County, Kentucky and the rest were born after they migrated to Indiana. There children, in order of birth, were Nancy, Lucretia, Charles, John, Thompson, James E., Susanna (called Susan), Mary Jane, William Henry, Jr., Lewis, George Washington, Francis, and David. At least four of their children migrated to Missouri.

My great-great grandmother preceded her husband in death by twelve years.

She was survived by her husband, several of her children, her grandchildren, and many other of her family members and friends. She was loved and greatly missed by all.
