He was born in Jackson County, Dec. 4, 1895, the son of the late George W. and Hannah Stallings Martin, and was formerly employed at American Viscose Corp. He retired about 10 years ago due to ill health.
He was a member of the Lauckport Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Miona Archer Martin, one son, Stanley Martin of Parkersburg; two daughters, Geneva Adams and Florine Wilson, both of Parkersburg; 10 grandchildren, one brother, Earl Martin of Parkersburg and four sisters, Blanche Leach of Parkersburg; Dora Givens and Freda Barnett both of Columbus, OH., Verna Enoch of Palestine.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Miss Cleone Martin.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Kimes Funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersbur. The Rev. Raymond Deem will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
