She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late Robert Gordon and Hallie May Watson Hicks Comer. Muriel was a homemaker and member of Snow Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, three brothers, Earlie E. Hicks, Thomas Wayne Comer, and infant, Clarence Watson Comer and a sister, Clara Christine Comer, preceded her in death.
Muriel was an award winning artist, musician, stained glass artist, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
