Robert Gordon Comer, 71, formerly of 1202 Afton Street, died Thursday, January 15, 1970, at Smith Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was a Henry Co. native and a son of the late Thomas N. and Mattie W. Campbell Comer. Mr. Comer had lived most of his life in Johnson City. An infant son, Clarence W. Comer preceded him in death on January 14, 1930.
He was a retired lumberman having been associated with Harris Manufacturing Co., Sells Lumber Co., and Miller Brothers Lumber Co. R.G. was a member of East Park Methodist Church.
