Bobbie Nell Adkins McDaniel

BETHEL COMMUNITY… Mrs. Bobbie Nell Adkins McDaniel, a resident of the Bethel Community, near Echo, died Friday evening, November 11, 2022, at her home. She was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 14, 2022, in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Jenni Hendrix and Reverend Darin T. Easter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McDaniel, daughter of the late S.B. Adkins and Bonnie Elmer Chancey Adkins, was a native of the Old Center Community in Henry County. She attended Echo School and was a 1956 Graduate of Newville High School. Mrs. McDaniel was a talented seamstress and made her daughter's clothing as they grew up. She was well known for cooking, especially her three ingredient peanut butter cookies. Mrs. McDaniel loved and supported her grandchildren by attending all sporting events, pageants, and plays. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she was very active behind the scenes making sure everything was taken care of. Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by two sisters, Retha Taggart and Pam Adkins.

Surviving relatives include her husband of sixty-seven years, Hugh C. McDaniel, Bethel Community; two daughters, Vickie Haynes (Tommy), Bertha Community and Karen McDaniel, Bethel Community; two sisters, Linda Walker and Margaret McDaniel (Bobby), all of Ozark; a brother, Jerry Adkins (Julie), Cottonwood; five grandchildren, Cliff Haynes (Katrina), Ashley McClenny (Jared), Kelly Weathers (K.C.), Kara Birdsong (Brett), and Turner Lee (Cassie); six great-grandchildren, Aubreigh Haynes, Greyson Haynes, Zadie McClenny, Bryan Weathers, Kennedy Claire Birdsong, and Brooks Birdsong; several nieces and nephews.
