Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth E. Macklin, 57 of Mt. Zion will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home, where friends may call after 2 pm Saturday. Burial will be in the Mt.Zion cemetery. Mrs.Macklin died at 10:05 pm Thursday in St. Marys hospital.
She was born March 20, 1902 in Shelby county, a daughter of Arthur and Dora Beckett Weakley and had lived in Mt. Zion for eight years. Mrs. Macklin was a member of the Locust Grove Evangelical United Brethren church.
She leaves her husband, Charles J., four daughters, Mrs.Louise Armstrong,Mrs.Clara Smith, and Mrs. Sharon Holeman all of Decatur and Mrs. Eileen Cotner of Bethany, four sisters Mrs. Gladys Standley and Mrs. Lela Gregory, both of Bethany, Mrs. Marie Standley of Mt. Zion and Mrs. Lois Carr of Centralia, Mo. Five brothers, James Weakley of Findlay, Hal of Lake City, Lester of Pana and Wayne and Darrell of Bethany. There are four grandchildren.
