CHARLES MACKLIN DIES SUDDENLY IN WISCONSIN

Charles J.Macklin, 71,Mt.Zion died at 7:20 am Wednesday in Fort Atkinson hospital, Fort Atkinson,Wis., where he was on a fishing trip. He was a native of Shelby county and had also lived in the Bethany area where he worked at the Bethany Granin co.
He was married to Ruth E.Weakly,who preceded him in death. Survivors include four daughters,Mrs.William Armstrong of Decatur, Mrs. Junior Cotner of Bethany,Mrs.Ralph Smith of Westminister,Calif and Mrs. J.D.Holeman of Mt. Zion and one son Charles Robert Macklin of Mt.Zion. Also surviving are two brothers. William(Sid) Macklin of Moweaqua and Loren Macklin of Shelbyville, three sisters,Mrs.Carla Rodman of Findlay, Mrs. Neta Curtley of Trenton,Mo. and Mrs.Elda Lockmiller of Decatur and five grandchildren. One sister and a half brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home at Mt. Zion with burial in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4pm Friday.
