Almey Pearce of Dustin died Wednesday at the Okmulgee General Hospital. He was 86. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Canadian Shores Freewill Baptist Church, Indianola, with Rev. Ronnie Gibson officiating. Interment will be at Indianola cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home, Henryetta. Serving as pallbearers will be Odale Jones, Hugh Layman, Vester Layman, Micky Burns and James Patterson. Pearce was born Aug. 8, 1905 at Little Rock, Ark., reared in Hanna and spent most of his life in that area. He and Nola Barton were married Oct. 15, 1934 at Scipio. Survivors include his wife Nola Pearce of the home; three daughters, Pearl LeGrand of Okmulgee, Freeda Ackerson of Tulsa and Carold Kubb of Augusta, Ga.; seven sons, Junior Pearce of Inola, Otis Pearce and Daryl Pearce, both of Augusta, Ga., Lynn Pearce of Indianola, Leon and G. B. both of Dustin and Author Pearce of McAlester; two sisters, Delphia Jefferson of McAlester and Ozzie of Calif.; 27 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pearce was preceded in death by two sons, Wallace and Jerry Pearce.
