Weekes -- Ruth Edna, daughter of Joseph C. and Mary Weekes, died Feb. 2, 1894, aged 2 years and 22 days.
Little Ruth was a bright, patient and lovable child, and will be sadly missed by relatives and friends; for although her stay in this world was short, she had gained the love of all her friends and little playmates. Her life, no doubt, has made some heart more tender, some life more true. God has considered her work on earth ended, and called her home.

Christ said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God."
Her leaving us thus, may be the fulfillment of her mission. For where our treasure is, there will out heart be also."
The little life that was budding here, has been plucked by a Loving Hand to burst into bloom in eternity.

"They are going --only going --
Jesus called them long ago,
All the wintry time they're passing
Softly as the fallen snow.
When the violets in the spring-time
Catch the azure of the sky,
They are carried out to slumber
Sweetly where the violets lie.

They are going -- only going --
Out of pain and into bliss,
Out of sad and sinful weakness
Into perfect holiness.
Snowy brows -- no care shall shade them;
Bright eyes -- tears shall ever dim;
Rosy lips -- no time shall fade them;
Jesus called them unto him.

Little hearts forever stainless --
Little hands as pure as they --
Little feet by angels guided
Never a forbidden way;
They are going -- ever going --
Leaving many a lonely spot;
But 'tis Jesus who has called them
Suffer and forbid them not."
