Miss Christine Wilhelmina Pfaff died at her home, 1415 Sixth avenue, at 8:10 last evening, from the result of a tumor, after a long and painful illness, an operation having been performed a little over a week ago, as heretofore noted, in hopes of relieving the sufferer; but surgical skill was unavailing, when met by the ravages of the grim destroyer.
The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Pfaff, and was born in Rock Island Feb. 23, 1868. She is survived by her parents, and by her brothers, Fred, Peter and Charles, and her sisters, Misses Margaret, Sophia and Katie Pfaff, and Mrs. Charles Bowman, all whom reside in this city, except Fred, whose home is in Salt Lake City. The deceased was possessed of those attributes, which endeared her to all who knew her.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the German Lutheran church, the interment being in the Lutheran cemetery.
