Richard W. Nydegger, 87, of Delphi, IN, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at home with loved ones by his side.
He was born on December 26, 1934 in Williamsport, IN to the late Benjamin and Eloise (Grolo) Nydegger. On December 22, 1953, he married Ida Lee Cooper. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2017.
Richard worked as an engineer for the Monon Railroad for 40 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling, motorcycles, and above all, spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by five children; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Delphi Christian Church, 315 E. Main St., Delphi, IN 46923 with Pastor Bob Duke officiating.
