Jerry Fleming Davis was born on June 19, 1938 in Braggs, Oklahoma. He had many happy years on the family farm in Hulbert. The family moved to California when he was twelve years old. He joined the Army at age 17 and spent three and a half years in the Military Police in Germany, from 1955 to 1958. Shortly after returning from the Army, he met and married Yvonne Shatswell. He went on to be a Police Officer, including serving as a Deputy Coroner, Police Lieutenant, Welfare Fraud Investigator and D.A. Investigator. His investigative skills were exceptional, and he often solved cases no one else could solve. He enjoyed woodworking and has remodeled houses and made furniture in addition to making toys, toy boxes and other items for his children and grandchildren. Jerry passed from this life on August 15, 2016. He and Yvonne had been married over 57 years. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Davis, two sons: Steve Davis and Jeff Davis, two daughters: Beverly Rosas and Erin Bunnell, Grandsons Ryan Davis, Adam Davis, Derek Rosas, Nick Rosas; Julian Bunnell; Granddaughters Elise Tang, Charlotte Bunnell, Olive Bunnell; Great-Granddaughters Olivia Rosas, Sayuri Rosas, Lucy Rosas, Lyra Tang, Deanna Rosas, Itzel Rosas; Great Grandson Pollux Tang; and sister Audine Melton of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Memorial Service August 20, 2016 at 11:00am in Visalia CA, West Visalia Church of Christ, 4525 W Caldwell Ave.
