WAVERLY - Warren Roy Brown, 86, of Waverly died Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 2008, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Waverly, the son of F. Roy and Gleana Byrkit Brown. He married Helen Schramm on March 17, 1946, in Palmyra; she survives.
He also is survived by two sons, Gordon K. (wife, Ellie) Brown of Springfield and Richard A. Brown of Ryegate, Mont.; two daughters, Phyllis Graham of Bosque Farms, N.M., and Sheri Schramm of Alto, N.M.; a brother, David (wife, Harriett) Brown of Indian Head; a sister, Alice Patterson of Sparta; a granddaughter, Kristie Baum; and two great-grandchildren, Amber and Mason.
He is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stephen Paul Brown and Alina Graham; and two sisters, Lois Atkinson and Helen L. Brown.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at Waverly United Methodist Church. Cremation will be accorded following services. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at the church, with Masonic rites at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Waverly Loyal Seniors, East Cemetery, Waverly Library or United Methodist Church.
