William Henry Phillips and Effie Mae Qualls were my great-grandparents. According to their marriage license, they were married 01 Dec 1900 in Johnson County, Arkansas.

"William Henry Phillips, 100, died Sunday at a nursing home here.

Service will be held at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., Tuesday. The service will be conducted by Rev. Bob Hinson of the First Baptist Church of Marlow.

Phillips was born Sept. 1, 1875, in Johnson County, Ark., and married Effie Mae Qualls, who died Oct. 14, 1964.

Phillips moved to Marlow in 1918 and was a retired farmer. He was a Baptist and attended Baptist churches all his life.

He is survived by six sons, Estes Phillips, Marlow; Earl Phillips, Marlow; Robert Phillips, Oklahoma City; Lee Phillips, Bristow; and James Phillips, Wichita Falls, Tex.

He is also survived by five daughters, Mrs. L. B. Pierce, Marlow; Mrs. Edd Castles, Wichita Falls, Tex., Mrs. Ora Miller, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Erwin Whal, Wichita Falls, and Mrs. D. W. Creech, Rosemound, Calif.

Phillips is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery."
