Danny was born on February 3, 1954 in Madison, SD to Buil and Harriet (Clark) Branson. He was raised on a farm near Chester, SD where Danny developed a strong work ethic and love of horses. He received his high school education in Sioux Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1972. Following high school, Danny joined the United States Army where he honorably served until his discharge in 1976. Danny then returned to Sioux Falls and was united in marriage with Donna Roby. Danny and Donna were blessed with two children, Camil and Crosby. Danny drove taxi for over 20-years. Then worked as a horse trainer assistant and maintenance man for eight-years. In his retirement, Danny helped his son, working at the Day's Inn Airport on North Cliff Avenue.
Danny was a self-taught carpenter. After building a shop in his garage on E. 6th Street in Sioux Falls, he crafted masterful wood pieces that he would give-away to his family and friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Donna Branson; daughter, Camil Branson of Watertown, SD; son, Crosby Branson and his wife, Chere of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, Natasha Branson, Gloria Justice and her husband, Patrick., Sean Branson, Owen Miller, Allyssa Wieneke, Bryan Wieneke, and Darin Wieneke and his wife, Christine; seven great grandchildren, Evan, Aiden, Dan, Keira, Jamey, Brooke and Natalie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buil and Harriet Branson; two sisters, Shirley Stroschein and Lorraine Darger; and two brothers, Charles and Ray Branson.
