Last rites held May 4 for Mrs. Clemmie Latham

Funeral services for Mrs. Clemmie Bennett Latham were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating were Revs. Moss Harper, C. L. Wilcutt and C. L. Wester. Burial was in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Latham, a native of Montgomery County, was 72 years old. She died May 3, at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, following an extended illness. She was a member of the Second Advent Christian Church near Duck Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Henry A. Latham, Winona; three sons, Chester Latham, Memphis; Charles Latham, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and James Latham, Winona; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Nicolas, Memphis.

Also, a half-brother, Dell Bennett, Vicksburg; a sister, Mrs. Edward Campbell, Duck Hill; a half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Miller, Indianola; fourteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Latham, Jr., Lyle Latham, Stanley Latham, Lyman Latham, Johnny Easley, and Robert Easley, Mike, Chuck and John Latham were honorary pallbearers.

Clementine Bennett was the daughter of Charlie Ammons Bennett and Elmira Blaylock Bennett. She married Henry Albert Latham in 1914 in Montgomery County, Mississippi, and they had five children.
