George K. Brown, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Henry County Health Center, Mt. Pleasant. He was born March 7, 1954, a son of Laborn and Ruby Faye (Atwell) Brown. He married Julie Ilmberger, they had two children, Amanda and Ryan. They later divorced.
George attended Fort Madison High School. He served in the United States Army. For years he worked at Fruehauf as a certified welder. He earned his Computer Science Degree from Southeastern Community College. He worked at Dodd Printing and then moved to Kansas City where he worked in IT at Gateway 2000. George was a die hard Chicago Cubs fan, he shot pool, and did woodworking. He loved cooking and grew vegetables in his garden and shared them with family and friends. George loved his family especially his grandkids.
. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Ryan, five siblings: Liz, Karen, Roger, Seldon, and Steve; and his dog, Girlfriend.

His family will greet friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm Friday evening, February 4, 2022 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.
