Gilbert Frank Black Sr., 80, of 1908 Wooddale Drive, died Monday at his residence. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Black was retired from Ragland Brothers after 50 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Black Grogan of Huntsville; a son, Gilbert Black Jr. of Clinton, Ill.; two brothers, Billy Black of Virginia and Thomas Black of Trenton, S.C.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
