Carterville — Mrs. Andrew R. (Margaret) Killian, 48, died Saturday at a Syracuse hospital after a long illness.

She was born Oct. 26, 1913, in Lancaster, Pa., daughter of Frank and Clara Sherr Bechtold. She and Mr. Killian were married Nov. 1, 1930, in Refton, Pa. She was a resident of Pennsylvania until 1914, when she moved to this area.

Mrs. Killian was employed by the Camden Wire Co., Inc., for 10 years, and for several years was telephone operator in Williamstown. She was a member of the Federated Church of Amboy, the Amboy and Williamstown Grange, and leader of the Amboy 4-H Club.

Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Clark, Taberg; Mrs. Lawrence Galbraith, Williamstown; Mrs. Donald Calbrese, Rome; two sons, George, Massena, and Guy at home; her stepfather, Grover Hickey Sr.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Richard Reames and Mrs. Richard Heiselman, both of Lancaster, Pa.

Also two step-sisters, Mrs. Ruth Mott and Mrs. Dorothy Biesleg, both of Lancaster; a half brother, John Hickey, and a step-brother, Grover Hickey, Jr., both of Lancaster; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 pm at the Sanborn funeral home with the Rev. Stanley Skinner of the Cortland Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
