William Allison, 76, retired potter

Georgetown -- William Clair Allison, 76, of Georgetown died Sunday, Dec, 15, 1991, at the Beaver Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born at Lawrenceville Oct. 25, 1915, a son of the late Robert A. Allison and Vene White Allison. Mr. Allison was a retired employee of the former Taylor, Smith & Taylor Co. pottery. He was a member of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church. His wife, Mary Glenn Allison, died in 1985. Survivors include four sons, Dale W. Allison of Alliquippa, Cecil G. Allison and Thomas R. Allison of Georgetown and Ronald C. Allison of Lompoc, Calif.; two daughters, Jean (Mrs. Thomas) Danley of East Liverpool and Kathy McNary of Chester; two brothers, Wilbur Allison of Andover, Pa., and Dwight Allison of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Virginia Allison of Lady Lake, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Rev. David Joachim of the church is to conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Welch Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
