Ex-Potter Dies Of Heart Case
Rites Will Be Sunday For Robert H. Allison
Robert H. (Burt) Allison 74, of Second St. and Carolina Ave., Chester, retired potter, died today at 7:55 a.m. in City Hospital following a heart attack suffered Saturday. A son of John Allison and Margaret Allison, he was born June 27, 1878. He was employed by the Taylor, Smith & Taylor Co. until his retirement last year. He was a member of the Chester Free Methodist Church for 52 years. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Vene White Allison; seven sons, Earl Allison, James Allison and Claude Allison of Chester, Arthur Allison and Wilbur Allison of Beaver, Clair Allison of Hookstown, and Dwight Allison of Akron, four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Swisher, Mrs. Maud Campbell and Mrs. Pearl Hubbard of Chester, and Mrs. Virginia Allison of Akron; three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Campbell of Chester, Mrs. Maggie Laughlin and Mrs. Rose Campbell of East Liverpool, and 33 grandchildren and 12 great - grandchildren. The body was taken to the Welch Funeral Home in Hookstown and on Friday will be removed to the Mrs. Maud Campbell home, 912 Neptune Ave., where friends may call Friday night and Saturday. Funeral services will be held there Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William Grafton. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery near Hookstown.
