He was a self-employed builder and owner of Beamer Enterprises, Marysville.
Don was a former member of the Harrisburg Home Builders Association and a charter member of the Pennsylvania Remodelers Association, Harrisburg.
Surviving are his wife: Kay Hoffman Beamer; a son: Jeffrey L. of Harrisburg; two daughters: Debra I. Emlet of Carlisle and Judy K. Cline of Wormleysburg; a stepson: Stephen A. Austin; a stepdaughter: Laurel L. Hartwell, both of Hummelstown; twelve grandchildren; and, two brothers: Kenneth W. of Mechanicsburg and Carl H. of York Haven.
Services were held November 15, 2003 in Cocklin Funeral Home, Dillsburg, with the Rev. William Groff officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
