Receiving a holiday on the day before the Fourth of July 1907, Miss Irene Harrold and Mr. Charles Black went to Harrisburg, obtained a marriage license in the morning and were married at the office of Squire Martin Zoll. The local newspaper reported that the couple were unaccompanied and stated that they were taking holiday in the city and thought that they might as well get married.
The marriage to Charles Black did not last too long. In the 1930's, Irene married Nelson Bostdorf. She became a widow in March 1960.
Mrs. Irene Bostdorf, a former resident of Marysville, died at Lewistown Hospital on November 26, 1964. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. E. Grove, pastor of Marysville Evangelical United Brethren Church. Burial was at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
