Thursday for Mrs. Louie Presley
Laura Dell Yarmond, daughter of Josep and Mary Yarmond was born in Seneca County, November 30, 1866. She moved with her parents to Howard County Nebraska in 1873.
She was united in marriage to George W. Beard in 1882. To this union were born five children; Elmer G. of Lapser; Joseph J. of Clare; Mrs. William Cook, of Binghamton, New York; Robert G. of Flint; And Edgar C. of Elmira, New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Beard, then with two children, moved to Ionia County, Michigan. In 1887, to Farwell in 1893, and later to a farm in Freeman township about 1900, where her husband, George W. Beard, passed away in 1907.
In 1908 she was united in marriage to Louis A. Presley. After their marriage the couple moved to Clare, June 28, 1909. Curtis E. was born in 1914 and they moved to Freeman Township, where Louie departed this life in 1937 - in September, the same year, Mrs. Presley and Curtis moved to Flint where she resided until the time of her death, May 20, 1940, at the age of seventy-three years fie months and twenty days.
Leaving to mourn their loss are six children; one sister, Mrs. S. Folsom, of Lakefield, Minnesota; two brothers, O.R. Yarman, of Silver Creek, Nebraska, and A.V. Yarman, of Wahoo, Nebraska; besides a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from Fri Funeral Parler Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. A. D. Teider officiating, and interment was made in the Surrey Township Cemetery at Farwell.
