BELLWOOD BRIEFS.

Sudden Death of Young Boy

Quite a sudden death occurred in Bellwood yesterday afternoon, that was a shock to a large number of the young folks of the town. The victim was Charles Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burns, of Boyles and Second streets. Charley, as he is best known, had an attack of pneumonia during the winter, from which he had never fully recovered. He was considerably improved, however, until a few days ago, when he took a fresh cold. Still his condition was not considered serious until about noon yesterday when he became alarmingly ill and was persuaded to go to bed. A physician was hastily summoned but his services were of no avail and death ensued about 2.30 o'clock. Charles Burns was born at Roaring Spring, June 3, 1892 and was aged at death 16 years, 11 months and 2 days. The greater part of his life had been spent in Bellwood. He was a member of the Baptist Sunday school. His last hours were spent in prayer and he gave his friends the assurance that he was ready to die. Besides his parents he is survived by these brothers and sisters: Fred and Clarence, Misses Nina, Lena and Marie. The funeral services will be held at the home at 7.30 o'clock Friday evening. At 12.32 Saturday noon the remains will be taken to Roaring Spring for interment.
