Dorsey "Darrell" Barker, age 91 of Ironton died on August 28, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on May 10, 1930 in Mansfield, SD to Dorsey and Blanch (Walberg) Barker. Darrell graduated for Ipswich High School in South Dakota in 1949. He was U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City, SD with a degree in Engineering. After graduation he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he was employed with Unisys with 34 years of service. After retirement in 1993, they moved to Ironton. Darrell was an avid gardener and loved to be outdoors with his vegetables, plants and birds.

Darrell is survived by his wife Carla; two sons, Rodney (Dawn) Barker of Salt Lake City, Utah and Scott Barker of Baxter; three daughters, Shawn Morehouse of Lonoke, AK, Sheryl (Tim) Shelley of Ironton and Cindy Wolter of Aberdeen, SD; one brother, Hollis Barker of AK; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding Darrell in death are his parents; one daughter, Kristina Blake; one son, Tom Barker; granddaughter, Amber; two brothers, Dean Barker and Bob Barker and one sister Dolores Radabaugh.

A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2201 at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township with full military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
