Martha M. Goetz, 82, of 10376 Hades Church Road, Greencastle, and formerly of 163 E. Washington St., Chambersburg, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000, at home.

Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Nettie McFadden Danzeberger.

Her husband, Paul E. Goetz, died March 4, 1978.

Mrs. Goetz attended Hamilton Heights Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg, which formerly was Hamilton Heights Holiness Church.

Early in her life, she worked at the former Hershey Creamery, and later at Pet Inc., both of Chambersburg. She retired from Pet in 1978 after 22 years of service.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Chaplain Norman) Guyer of Knoxville, Tenna.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lottie Hirsch, Helen (Mrs. George) Leeper and Jeanette (Mrs. Edward) Lawyer, all of Chambersburg; and two brothers, John W. Danzeberger and Robert M. Danzeberger Sr., both of Chambersburg. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. Pastor James C. Strite will offficiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
