CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert M. "Danny" Danzberger Sr., 78, of 72 N. Federal St., died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Shippensburg (Pa.) Health Care Center.

Born April 20, 1924, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late William A. and Nettie E. McFadden Danzberger.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

He worked for Penn Central Railroad for 30 years; and retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 15 years.

He was a member of Cumberland Hose Fire Co. of Chambersburg; and coached Little League baseball.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Meriam Horn Danzberger; three sons, Robert M. Danzberger Jr., Troy L. Danzberger and Toby L. Danzberger, all of Chambersburg; one stepdaughter, Linda D. Grooms of Chambersburg; two stepsons, Gary L. Henry and Michael G. Henry, both of Chambersburg; three sisters, Lottie Hirsch, Helen Leeper and Jeannette Lawyer, all of Chambersburg; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Ruth E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens near Chambersburg.

Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at 1 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
