BATTS -- Mrs. Norma Evelyn Batts, 35, who had lived at 10513 East Twenty-seventh terrace, Independence, until moving to Minnesota last week, died Monday in Fergus Falls, Minn. She was born in Beaman, Mo., and lived in Greater Kansas City most of her life and in Independence 10 years. She was a member of the Jackson Avenue Christian church. She leaves her husband, Albert A. Batts; a daughter, Nancy Jane Batts, and a son, Jeffery Allan Batts, all of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Stewart, brother, Clifford Eldon Stewart, as sister, Mrs. Maxine Whalen 2606 Scott, Independence. Services will be at 3:30 o'clock Thursday at the Carson chapel, Independence. Burial will be in Floral Hills cemetery.
