He was born near Morgantown, Ky., and had lived a few years in Sheldon, IL, before moving to Warren County in 1932. He had lived in Williamsport nine years.
Prior to farming he was a timber buyer for Amos-Thompson Co. at Edinburg. In 1938 he was married in Drakesboro, Ky., to Nancy Anna Myrl Abbott, who is a caseworker for Warren County Welfare Department.
Mr. Keown was a member of Judyville United Methodist Church.
Surviving with the widow are two sons, Chuck Keown of Dallas, Texas, and Norman Farris of Spartanburg, S.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Bulington of Monticello and Mrs. Betty Hall of Goodland; one brother, Lindell Keown of Morgantown, Ky. ; and two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Mayes of West Lebanon and Mrs. Venie Daube of Phoenix, Ariz.
